It was a truly great day yesterday at the Laddie open day – and for the thirteenth year in succession the sun shone on the multitudes in our courtyard. It was surely the busiest we have ever been – the sheer number of people was quite overwhelming at one point. We have not compiled the attendance figures yet, and it is impossible for us to be accurate anyway for all sorts of reasons, but but we know that there were significantly more people than we expected. And all having fun.
We thought it would be good to share some of your thoughts from the day through our website. It is an extraordinary experience for us, to see so many people from so many countries around the world travelling to Islay to see and experience what we do here. We also reallly appreciate the thoughts and photographs that you post on the web and we will do our best to share some of them through our own website and social media streams. Please do send them to us, either via social media or firstname.lastname@example.org
Here are two links to to the excellent “Loving Whisky” blog by Ansgar Speller which has a good collection of photographs from the day, and also to a review of Jim McEwan’s masterclass on “Whisky Worship“, a blog by Ansgar’s husband Thomas. Slainte!
