Jewmalt, red wine gums and sherried goodnessç

Two more reviews of Laddie malts that are now sadly only found in our whisky archive.  Happily, Joshua Hatton has had a couple of bottles stashed at the back of a cupboard for a number of years and dusts them off here.  The first to come in for the Jewmalt treatment is the Redder Still, which does not float Joshua’s boat quite as far as its erstwhile companion the Blacker Still, although he recalls the nose with some affection.

As you will read, he is positively effusive about our old 1992 Fino cask Sherry Edition which really makes his cookies crumble.

The Jewmalt posts are always sumptuously illustrated, in this case with some delicious-looking winegums and what might be a pecan pie although we are, as always, open to correction.  Slainte Josh!
