Vesa Nopanen is a whisky blogger and enthusiast from Ihamaniemi, which is a very remote part of Finland. Or at least it seems remote to us here at Bruichladdich on the Hebridean island of Islay.
I think it is fair to say that he is particularly enthusiastic about heavily peated single malt scotch whiskies and has been kind enough to write about both our heavily peated Port Charlotte and super-heavily peated Octomore ranges on a number of occasions.
These are some of his latest blog posts entitled ‘Tales of the Smoke and Peat‘ about the PC11, his search for Octomore 6.2 and Port Charlotte Scottish Barley.
Vesa is also a very talented and original photographer who has taken a series of extraordinary images of bottles in association with smoke and fire. They seem to marry perfectly with our idea of where he lives. We hope you enjoy them.
