this expression marks a significant point for our distillery; showcasing over two decades of maturation exclusively on Islay. It reflects our unwavering commitment to provenance and patience.
Our mission since reopening the distillery in 2001 is to create the most thought-provoking spirits possible. That means pushing boundaries, championing our raw ingredients, and exploring the complexity of cask influence. Matured in a combination of bourbon (80%) and sherry casks (20% - Oloroso and PX), this whisky demands careful orchestration to balance the flavours. Bruichladdich Twenty One is the result of that dedication – a testament to flavour, transparency, and our community.
The result is a complex single malt. Layers of dried fruit, spice, and leather from the sherry wood come together with vanilla, sweet toffee, and honey from the American oak. Bruichladdich’s classic citrus and floral notes provide structure, while a subtle maritime influence speaks of its all-Islay maturation.

Part of our Luxury Re/Defined range, The Bruichladdich Twenty One features groundbreaking outer packaging. Created with James Cropper, specialists in sustainable luxury packaging, this bespoke, coloured paper pulp wrap is moulded to our proprietary bottle shape, in a first for any spirits product.
Made from 100% fresh fibre wood pulp (from sustainably managed forests, FSC® or PEFC® certified) using 100% green energy. It’s fully recyclable, glue-free, significantly lighter than traditional prestige packaging, reducing its carbon footprint from creation to transport. Proof that sustainability and luxury are not mutually exclusive.
Our proprietary bottle is also lighter and contains an average of 60% recycled glass content.

Our Bruichladdich whisky range is unpeated, floral and complex. Trickle distilled from 100% Scottish barley using much of the original Victorian machinery, the methods employed by our craftsmen have continued unchanged. This is natural whisky, non-chill filtered and colouring free.
