We Made It: The Bogányi Piano

We Made It has always been about the points where disciplines merge into one another, whether it's art and craft, publishing and curation, or sound-art and salmon smoking (!). And here is a prime example: the Hungarian concert pianist Gergely Bogányi has, over years, worked out how to take insipiration from acoustic science, engineering, motorcar design, sculpture, and of course his own musical training, to come up with a creation with nods to both the past and future of musical instrument manufacture. The Bogányi Piano is an example of a dream fiercely pursued and forced into glorious reality. Over on theartsdesk, Jasper Rees uncovers its story and formula.
