Our obsession with barley has taken us on a journey over almost two decades. At first, we brought the world of wine to whisky, exploring terroir and celebrating the nuances of flavours that came with it. At present, we trace barley parcel by parcel from 27 farms from Islay, Orkney and the Scottish mainland through to distillation. Our warehouses now hold a fascinating catalogue of controlled experiments. Looking to the future, we recognise that there is yet more to do. Only by embracing whisky and agriculture as a holistic system will we unlock the potential of true innovation in Scotch.
