Joanne Brown will conduct the first public tasting and launch of Port charlotte PC12 on a superferry of the Viking Line in the Baltic Sea this weekend. Viking Line carried over 6,600,000 passengers during 2014.
Port Charlotte PC12 is the eighth release in the PC series of cask strength single malts. Each of these heavily peated whiskies marks another stage in a journey of discovery as we continue to explore the complex relationship between the power of peat and the elegant, floral topnotes for which our Bruichladdich stills are famous.
All Port Charlotte expressions are a tribute to the legacy of the men, Gaelic speakers, who ran spirit for one hundred years in the old Lochindaal Distillery in the village that clings to the rocky shores of the Rhinns of Islay. PC12 carries the title “Oilenach furachail” in the old language. It refers to the young student carefully observing how the master goes about his work, looking and learning, preparing for the day when the world will sit on his shoulders.
