Announcing #LaddieMP4

We are about to embark on an exciting new chapter of our Micro-Provenance digital tasting programme with head distiller Adam Hannett.

Adam has selected three single casks for #LaddieMP4 – and you will be able to join him on-line as he conducts a tasting live from the distillery.

The release will be entirely in sets of three beautiful 20cl ‘Wee Laddie’ bottles – at an extremely attractive price point. And this time, the bottles will not be issued ‘blind’ – you will know exactly what is in each one.

We will be bottling three single casks of unpeated Bruichladdich, in the Harvey Hall, each personally selected by Adam.

Adam has added a splash of water from the spring at Octomore Farm to each one, presenting each at what he considers to be the optimum alc.vol.

Cask #361 – distilled in 2008 and matured full term in a French ex-Syrah (red wine) cask.  It is at 58% alc. vol.

Cask #16-062 – distilled in 2006 and matured in ex-bourbon before being finished in an ex-sherry cask is also at 58% alc. vol.

Cask #1062 – distilled in 2005 and matured full term in bourbon is at 59% alc. vol.

There will only be around 860 sets available, so please place your order here to avoid disappointment.

The price will be £50.00 (fifty pounds) per set plus postage and packing (which varies with country).

All three are stunning single malts that show the range and variety of flavours that it is possible to achieve through innovative maturation programmes.

Our photo shows the three bottles – we have hand-filled these for demonstration purposes from the actual casks and then labelled them using our own printer. The real labels will be similar but professionally produced.

We expect bottling to happen during the week commencing 22nd August.  These will be packed at the distillery w/c 29th August and then transported to our distribution hub in Glasgow from where they will set off on their journey to you.

Some of you will receive them just a few days after that – but some may have to wait for up to three weeks as the precious packages make their way to some of the more far flung corners of the globe.

Improved shipping arrangements mean that even more Laddiefans will have the opportunity to be involved – including friends from the majority of states across the USA.  Full details of where we can ship to can be found here…

We believe that, all being well, and allowing a little room for any unexpected complications, everyone will have received the bottles comfortably in time for Adam to hold his tasting of the three, live from the distillery, from 7.00pm during the evening of Thursday October 13th.  This will be broadcast on our YouTube channel with further scope for comment and interaction on social media via Twitter and Facebook.

We hope you will be able join us. It promises to be an excellent evening.

The Micro-Provenance tastings are part of our ongoing exploration of individual cask evolution. Released as single cask bottlings they are available only from and to visitors to the Laddieshop on Islay.
