Laddie
Shrimp Stir Fry
Ingredients: 1 lb. large shrimp shelled, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, ¼ cup
Bruichladdich, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. cornstarch, 2 tsp. vegetable oil, 1
tablespoon grated ginger, 2 – 3 large garlic cloves minced, 1 tablespoon curry
paste, 1 medium onion sliced and separated into rings, 6 oz snow peas
Sauce: ¼ cup vegetable stock (or chicken stock), 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1
tablespoon lime juice, ¼ cup coriander

Combine
shrimp, soy sauce, scotch, sugar and cornstarch. Marinate for 30 minutes.

Heat oil
in wok or large skillet. Stir fry ginger, garlic and curry paste for one minute.
Add onions, and snow peas and stir fry for two minutes (or until snow peas are
slightly cooked).

Add
shrimp and marinade and cook until shrimp are just beginning to turn pink. Pour
in stock, soy sauce and lime juice. Stir together and remove from heat as soon
as shrimp are pink and curled.

Stir in
coriander and serve over brown rice or noodles.

Traditional Christmas Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup of butter,
2 quarts of whisky,
1 cup of sugar,
1 tsp. baking soda,
4 large eggs,
1 tsp. salt,
1 cup dried fruit,
Lemon juice,
1 tsp. baking powder,
1 cup brown sugar
Method:
Before you start, sample the whisky to check quality. Good, isn’t it? Now, go
ahead

Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup etc. Check the whisky again as it must
be just right. To be sure the whisky is of the highest quality, pour one level
cup into a glass and drink it as fast as you can. Repeat

With an electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one
teaspoon of the thugar and beat again. Meanwhile, make sure the whisky is of the
highest quality. Cry another tup. Open the second quart if necessary.

Add two arge leggs, two cups of fried druit and beat. If druit gets stuck in
beaters, just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the whisky again, checking for tonscistity.

Next, sift three sups of salt or anything, it doesn’t really matter. Sample the
whisky. Sift half a pint of lemon juice. Fold in chopped butter and strained
nuts. Add one babblespoon of brown sugar or whatever colour you can find and mix
well. Grease the oven and turn cake tin to 360 gradees.

Now, pour the whole mess into the oven and ake. Check whisky again and bo to ged
