Lynne McEwan - Sales Support
We are very pleased that Lynne McEwan, Jim’s eldest
daughter, has joined the sales team. Any one having the chance to meet Lynne
perhaps at the Islay whisky festival, cannot but help notice the McEwan
enthusiasm. We are pleased that the McEwan whisky dynasty continues…
Mary McGregor - Distillery Shop
Daughter of
the Late Donald and Morag McGregor of Gartacharra. Mary lives with her brother Donald. She enjoys the splendid hilltop view of the distillery,
where her father had worked for many years with his Clydesdale horses, carting grain
from the puffers at the pier to the distillery for malting.
One of her favourite walks with her faithful Collie dogs, Suzie and Fly, is
round the Distillery Dam, “An Torran”, where the water gathers before meandering
down the burn “Eas Bhan” past the distillery, to the seashore.
Her days off sees her helping her brother Donald on the farm with the sheep and
the cattle.
Mary feels she has “come home” to work in Bruichladdich Distillery after a
variety of jobs including 18 years at the Islay Creamery, the village shop, The
Mini Market and the Islay Museum in Port Charlotte.
She is an Islay lass through and through with a deep faith and a love of the
Gaelic culture in word and music. She enjoys her brother’s piping and never
misses the chance to encourage youngsters to be proud of their Islay roots.
