We may not have pictured Comus as a pageant winner - the offspring of solemn Islay peat dancing with a delicate French mistress wasn't obviously destined for the traditional beauty stage. But when we conjured up the notion, this matching of antonyms, we were pretty sure she would turn heads. Why? Why not?
