Selectism.com Black Art 2 Review

Bruichladdich Black Arts 2 Scotch – For the Black Metal-ist in all of Us

World’s Best Ever is dipping their coverage into the dark side with a look at this scotch from Bruichladdich. Their Black Arts 2 is a 21 year old variant which they describe as “totally selfish, decadent, late night, brooding dram.” Shit, I love how that sounds. How’s the nose on Black Arts 2? A bit less fiery than I would have assumed: “An opening bouquet of cherry blossom and deep red rose gives way to a rainbow of soft ripe red fruits; redcurrant, loganberry, damson, apricot and blackberry crystallised with soft brown sugar.”

We love the bottle on this one.

Monday, 12 March 2012 POSTED BY Mark Reynier IN News

"How we love Bruichladdich, their fiery independence, their Islay born and bred philosophy, their ability to push the boundaries and craft whisky that is truly unique and deserving of praise."

"Overall it is sublime and worth the asking price of around £90 if you can find it. Great if you love peat, but it offers so much more than that, making it truly outstanding! Looking forward to seeing what Bruichladdich do next!"
