Avantgarde in design, Bruichladdich was the inspiration of a dynamic 24 year old engineer, Robert Harvey, who in 1881 set out to produce the purest spirit possible.

His design is unchanged to this day. But what is a typical Bruichladdich? Is it dark, sweet or sherried? Light, fruity and dry? Fresh or smokey? A specific age, strength or vintage?

Laddie Classic answers all these vexatious questions in one bottling. Created by Jim from several vintages, each with their own characteristics, he has designed our yardstick dram.

Distilled from minimally peated barley, matured exclusively in American oak casks, it shows off the definitive Bruichladdich traits of elegance, poise, fruit, purity, and complexity.
