Islay is the southernmost of the Inner Hebridian Islands, on Scotland's wild and dramatic west coast. Next stop America. The latest issue of the Rough Guide To Scotland, the traveller’s bible, puts Islay as the fifth most important place to visit in Scotland – ahead of such national institutions such as The Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh, The Cairngorms, The Cuillins, Orkney, The Western Isles, Eigg Muck and Rum.
There are 2 Ordnance Survey maps that cover Islay - Islay North 353 and Islay South 352 in the Explorer range at 1:25000 scale. There is also an electronic 3D version called Anquet of the same maps. You can buy them online here
