Jim
McEwan's Celtic Heartlands
Over 40 years in
the whisky industry, starting as an apprentice cooper at the age of 15 means
that there is very little that Jim McEwan does not know about single malt scotch
whisky.
He has been
recognised three times as Distiller of the Year, amongst a myriad of other
accolades including Industry Leader of the Year (Malt Advocate) and Personality
of the Year (Whisky Magazine).

Jim McEwan's
Celtic Heartlands range deliberately stands out from the crowd; these are not
standard bottlings, nor are they simply tired, old, out-of-balance single malt
whiskies. These stimulate the mind with their amazing complexity and
originality. Each Celtic
Heartlands Bottling, the cream of the crop, has been selected from several casks
following exhaustive tastings; many casks were rejected for the less discerning.
Like a Grand Vin, there followed a careful marrying of these rare casks to
maximise the complexity and harmony of the spirit. This is the true art of a
Master Distiller. |
