BBC1 broadcast a documentary entitled "The True Spirit of Scotland" which featured Bruichladdich.

Presenter Paul Merton, as part of his Grand Tours of Scotland series, interviewed our Duncan McGillivray, and discussed Bruichladdich, the true spirit of Scotland, and the influence of Victorian travellers, including one Alfred Barnard.



The presenter makes the very relevant point that Islay is the true spirit of Scotland (eat your heart out Speyside) thanks to the kingdom of the Gaels, the Lordship of Isles, and the variety of spirits distilled here.
