Andrew is married with one daughter, living in Glasgow.
Andrew graduated as a BA Honours 2.1 Degree in Marketing. After a Post Graduate
Diploma in Accountancy, he gained several years of Accountancy, Sales &
Marketing experience with accountants Coopers and Lybrand on their Salmon Board.
Various advertising and marketing awards were won in UK, Australia and USA It
was at this time he acquired his habit for cowboy boots.
He subsequently spent seven years with distillers Morrison Bowmore as their
Regional Sales Director for UK, North America, Far East and Duty Free Worldwide.
Andrew played a major role in winning for the company the Queens Award for
Export Sales in three consecutive years, and numerous design awards.
In 1998 he formed a specialist drinks sales and marketing company, Liquid Gold,
which won one of the prestigious Export 2000 Awards.
Andrew started with Murray McDavid in 2000 on a consultancy basis prior to the
acquisition of Bruichladdich Distillery. He joined the Bruichladdich sales
department under Gordon Wright, and accepted the post of Sales Director in 2002.
In 2005, thanks to his tireless efforts, Bruichladdich was awarded the Queen’s
Award to Enterprise Export Award.
