Octomore - The engaging, legendary, James Brown has two cottages, one a
converted byre, the other in the old Octomore farm distillery. Stunningly
located high on the hill above Port Charlotte with far-reaching awesome views
overlooking Lochindaal and away to Northern Ireland in one direction and the
Paps of Jura in the other. A very peaceful place to be.

Easter Ellister - Lucy Dawson's large and imaginatively designed house
sleeps up to ten people in comfort. Situated 5 miles to the south west of Port
Charlotte, this recently refurbished house has been done up rather well with
large rooms and kitchen, with commanding views both east, south and west. Lucy's
ma is a breeder of rare breeds of poultry and ducks, as well as Highland ponies.

Ardtalla Cottages - There are three wonderfully remote cottages on the
wooded south-eastern coast of the island, on the entrance to the Sound of Islay.
Looking towards Jura, the single track road ends here at Ardtalla farmhouse; a
beautifully remote spot it does not even have electricity just a Rayburn stove
an open fire place, and plenty of candles. The other two cottages do have
electricity and all the mod cons and are finished to a very high standard

Loch Gorm House - at the entrance to Bruichladdich village stands this
rather noble Victorian house. Excellently decorated, imaginatively and
sympathetically restored by the ebullient Fiona Doyle. This is a very fine guest
house indeed, more a country house, they don't come much grander than this.
